Updated: Free Steak Dinner and Church Plans
We have some updates about the free dinner plans on Monday, August 23rd, at 6pm. First of all, there is good news! There is still time for you to make your reservation for Monday Night's free steak dinner! The free dinner will offer our church family another great opportunity for fellowship. However, the main purpose of the evening is to hear about our current church's status and exciting plans for 2022.
In case you missed my article in last week's Beacon, I am paying for the dinner so that everyone can come and hear both our current church status and plans for 2022! The steak option will be for the first 100 who make reservations. We have also added a chicken option for non-beef lovers. Of course, if neither of these options strikes your fancy, you are welcome to come without eating and hear about the church's status and plans.
Our Chef Heyward McKenzie will be cooking the meal, which will begin at 6pm. Our youth choir has volunteered to help serve for the evening. The event will last for 1 ½ hour.
There will be three segments for the evening.
The night promises to be a great evening! I hope you are all planning to join us Monday, August 23rd, at 6pm in the Family Life Center. Please make your reservation today! You can make reservations by letting the church office know by phone at 850-651-0721 or email at office@shalimar-umc.org.
