Bread House Week 24

We had a big week after Hurricane Sally. Our main supplier of meat and produce didn’t deliver anything this week because of the aftermath of the hurricane. We had no idea how we were going to make it through the week, but through your donations we made it through Friday!
An interesting story happened on Wednesday. We had people lined up waiting to be served. Sandra gave out the last loaf of bread to a woman who has visited us before. Another man who walked to The Bread House was told that we didn’t have any more bread. The woman turned to the man and gave her bread to him. It reminded me that those we serve have kind hearts for those less fortunate than themselves. She was a witness to those around us. We have stories everyday of the hope and joy the Bread House brings to those in need! Thank you, Shalimar UMC, for helping to make this happen and giving these folks HOPE!
