A Word from Dr. Brad Bradford
It is with very mixed emotions that I share with you our pianist, Joel Lane is retiring from his job at First City Bank and will be moving to Indiana at the end of this year. We are so very happy for Joel and Cheryl for this great milestone as Joel has been a part of First City Bank for over 35 years. Joel has worked and served with distinction, and we are proud of him!
With that, we have the very sad part of this. Joel has served as our pianist since the beginning of 2017. I truly can say that he is one of the most talented and gifted musicians with which I’ve had the pleasure of serving. His talent is very evident, as well as is his Christian character and commitment. We will miss Joel very much!
Thank you, Joel, for your years of ministry here and all the other places God has used you. Thank you, Joel, for your Christ-like spirit and dedication. Thank you, Joel, for how you have led us to the throne of grace during our times of worship.
We also thank Cheryl for serving in our Chancel Choir and Monica with her sweet spirit. We pray God’s blessings on the Lanes as they prepare to move and begin this next chapter in their lives.
Church family, we will begin the process of finding our next pianist in a few weeks. Please be in prayer for the person God has already selected.
Praise God From Whom All Blessings Flow!
